Interview with AJ Johnston

In this episode Boone sits down with musician and Army veteran AJ Johnston. Everything from AJ's beginning in music, to why he went to the Army, and how that has translated into his incredible energy today. They speak about some of his other interest, dealing with a life changing injury, and his most valuable job, fatherhood. Texas music is full of diversity and AJ Johnston is a perfect example of that. Infusing different genres to create an authentic sound is what he is all about.

In this episode the independent thinking Texans speak of the beauty in central Texas during the fall months. Is social media transforming? They also let weight off by discussing their concerns with new lock down measures and the hypocrisy that has shown itself through the pandemic. They speak of some information on what is called The Great Reset. They play "would you rather?", showcase the musician(s) of the week, and end with a little ventilation. Deep breath. Okay. Let's reset. Oh wait.

We gear by talking by digging a little into arrowhead searching. We also cover the election and re-address some points from the last episode like Dr. Kory's testimony up in Michigan. What was the pandemic of 1957-58, and 1968? We dive into the history books a little bit and talk about companies moving to Texas. Will Texas become a more libertarian state, blue state, or remain a red state? We give a few geographical facts about Texas for those interested in that sort of thing.

We make mistakes, laugh, and learn as are some of the reasons we do this podcast.

Pat Kelley (with an EY)

This episode we are joined by a local long time musician from the Bandera, Texas area Pat Kelley. But we don't talk about music much on this one. Pat dives deep into our shenanigans and fits right in. We discuss the Texas freeze over, how the federal branch of government has absolutely no oversight, and we even get in some would you rather. Good times and imperfect humans. The story of us Independent Thinking Texans.

Dazed, Confused, and Mask-less on Texas Independence Day

Well some Independent Thinking Texans gather on this episode to discuss Gov. Greg Abbott lifting the mask mandate on Texas Independence Day. Symbolism; maybe so. Also, we speak a little about how the right vs left paradigm is truly hurting reasonable thinking and solutions. A little coverage on " Greater Idaho" and how we think that may be a growing trend in other areas as well. Then we dive into the weeds and realize it is time to call it a night.

We speak on the border issues, which seem to always be issues, covid vaccines, boycotts and cancelling, and finally last but certainly not least, Levi's bada$$ VHS and DVD collection.

Ramblin' On and Sellin' Out

In this episode we start by covering the great philosophy of individual liberty and freedom. Would it truly work in practicality? We also get into what we feel is going on with education in our country today and if protests (in the street style) are effective in getting what it sets out to accomplish. We end the episode talking about selling out. Is it good, bad, or when is it okay and what place we would go in Texas if we could only have one choice.

We also talk about how corrupt propaganda controlled by well to do elitist always leads the most poor and vulnerable into war. It is almost always the people who didn't start the conflicts, that have to deal with the repercussions. Heavy but real, so we end with another movie of the week.

Quick Rip#3 Extreme Boredom

In this quick rip we showcase in real time what boredom can do to a soul. It is a tricky variant of boredom that is responsible for most cases today. Term of the year by popular demand "Get the jab." Two years ago we would have felt like that meant we were in a boxing competition. Today, it is straight pop culture.

Ranting rants. Freestyle. Off the top.

In this episode we toss out "show notes". We throw away the pre-discussed topics that we may get into, and instead, we get into our hearts. That may not make sense to you, but obviously, these times are not about sense. It is all about the Benjamins (and by Benjamins I mean take his a$$ off that hundred bill). In all seriousness that is possible at this point, this episode is for the ranters of the world. For those that just need a vent for the hot air that builds from time to time. We love you.

Does this even matter?

We discuss how ideology is bigger than partisan politics. Blame the "other side" all you want, but what is your ideology of the way the world should be? We cover the school districts in Texas going against the Governor mandates. Mandates on top of mandates on top of mandates. What have we become, and does it even matter? A little love goes a long way.

In this episode we talk about something our country has been dealing with for a long time. The inevitable with drawl from the war in Afghanistan. What is going on with the elite class of America? How can they continue to be this wrong and keep any credibility? Your guess is as good as ours. Our thoughts are with all involved in the negative aspect of this situation.

Hopefully we continue to care about preserving what matters to our existence. Oil spills after hurricane Ida and no one knows whose pipelines are leaking. We hope some can come together with resources to fix these leaks for the gulf coast and it habitants. Best wishes to y'all on this life journey.

In this episode we talk about the complete absurd approach to the promotion of health by the President mandating vaccinations on a growing number of the United States workforce. Silly Pres. Come on man. We also get a little wild talking about protest and riots. The good, the bad, and the ugly. This show is purely for the reason of us trying to understand the world a little more. We are not always successful. Have a day!

The Storms of Life

On a stormy Tuesday night in Texas we sit and speak of the world, humanity, and some other random material that moves us. You will be hit by storms in this life. That is a guarantee that comes with our existence. How will you come out of the other side of them? It may be wise to not ignore these storms. Maybe try and study them. Understand them a little more and that way you can come out of the storm even a stronger individual than when it hit you. All we can do is our best in this life.

We know there are many things you could stress about in this world. In this episode we even stress and chat over a few of them. Social Media, corruption problems, and the ever so bitter mandates. Through the stresses of life though a little humor often goes a long way. Stopping to laugh every now and then isn't bad for the soul. So Let's Go Brandon. Keep your heart and soul alive and well. Grow bitter or grow better.

Come Together

In our opinion, every has an opinion. But whose opinion should decide whose opinion is the proper. Even the most stubborn facts could possibly have different perspectives. It is a complicated issue so I suppose we should just ban it all. Or we can speak and listen. We are absolutely imperfect and also blessed for the opportunity to grow each day. We hope more people come together.

If we work hard enough we could probably end up getting over 90% of the worlds population cancelled. And don't even say that it is an attack on "free speech". They can still speak freely just only with opinions that we say are alright. Who is we you ask? We are the people who designate truth and valuable opinion. We also have a lot of money and a high social credit score. The rest of you need to get back to work and continue on with your "non-essential" practices. NVMD. We want freedom!

In this episode we touch on a horrific shark attack that was caught on camera off of Little Bay in Sydney, Australia. Should this type of video be allowed to be viewed on the internet? We also touch on the push for more war in Ukraine and the protests in Canada. The main thing to remember though, life is short. Don't take any moment for granted.

Know that we Know not much at all

The world is a crazy place. I suppose that is why we enjoy doing these audio podcast conversations about things that make our minds wander. Some say we are on the brink of a major war. Some say the globe is warming to the point of no return. Some buy way too much toilet paper for no apparent reason. Who knows what to think about it all? We do want to wish people in the world peace of mind through the trials of life. That is for sure. Smile often and love thoroughly. Life is a blink.

Independent Thinking Tremors

In this episode we do our first cross podcast with Talking Tremors. Needless to say, in this episode there is a ton of Tremor talk and two guys named Levi teaching a guy named Boone a little more about the compelling movie series. We touch on some other things as well, but really this is a good chance to talk about an American art creation with a purpose. A little something different if you will. We thank Levi for this cross podcast and hope y'all have an enjoyable day. One moment at a time.

In this episode we are joined by another independent thinking Texan who gets into some posts he made on social media, and moreover, if social media is really the forum to be having such consequential and in-depth debate or conversation. This is just part of this episode and we hope you can take something from it. If not, that is cool too. Have a day!

Guinea Fowl; The Freedom of Speech

In this episode you will finally understand how our freedom of speech is under attack. It truly is. But this time by some Guinea fowl trying to get themselves nestled in the trees for the night. Crazy birds. Other than that, we do the normal thing. Talk about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness or at least something we can grow to be proud of. We want to get better as well and continue helping grow positive things. Sometimes we just get fall down the road less traveled. Have a good week.

Mountain Climbing Lesson Learning Texans

We just returned from our annual mountain climb. What a doozie! We talk a little about that here along with a few other things. We respectfully question the effectiveness of the modern judicial system in America. The main thing we do this for is to conversate and learn. We will never claim to have the truth on every or any issue. We just do our best to try and understand the world we live in. Have a solid week.

Where Are You Leading Us?

Who are you listening to? And where are they leading you? Are we all being led? Maybe we all are and that is just a part of our lives. Or maybe we are conscious beings that are well aware of determining what direction to take in our lives. Maybe this leadership has become overwhelmingly undedicated to anything but its own interest. These are just some thoughts we ponder sometimes. We hope that you think as well. It is not as dangerous as some might make you believe. Have a day!

No matter what you believe, geo-politics has its ways of affecting us all. Today is no different. We here on this show hope for more peaceful solutions to very complicated problems. Whatever happens is largely out of our control. We wish the best for people negatively impacted by such events. In the course of human history, maps always change. Good vibes to y'all out there.
